Welcome To the Diversity Business Resource Center

The Diversity Business Resource Center (DBRC) was established in 2005 to provide information and resources to diverse entrepreneurs in order to break barriers that impede their startup and growth. The creation of the DBRC was spearheaded by regional leaders in a collaborative effort to level the playing field for contracting opportunities, especially in the government sector. Funding is provided by public and private organizations as well as corporate sponsors and program fees.

The mission of the Diversity Business Resource Center is to provide diverse entrepreneurs with opportunities to make important business connections, to increase their company’s marketing exposure and to gain valuable market and business information. These opportunities are provided through a variety of programs and services including advocacy, counseling, seminars, and networking events.

Diverse entrepreneurs—minority, women, veteran or other disadvantaged business owners and potential entrepreneurs—whether or not they have gained MBE, WBE and/or DBE certification are eligible to register as clients. The DBRC is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and primarily focuses on supporting businesses in Southwestern Pennsylvania; however, clients are located beyond this geographic area.
