Are you the owner of a minority-, women-, veteran-owned or otherwise disadvantaged business -- or are you a potential entrepreneur?

The Diversity Business Resource Center is here to help you.

We are a 501c3 non-profit organization helping businesses start and grow in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Clients

The DBRC client list includes professionals from all industries and backgrounds. We have laborers and contractors, information technology professionals, marketing experts, educators, legal counsel, and more.

So what does MWDBE stand for, anyway?

MWDBE is an easy way for diversity folks to link M (Minority) W (Women) and D (Disadvantaged) BE (Business Enterprises) because their business needs are different from non-MWDBEs. A DBE could be a business owned by a service-disabled veteran, someone with a disability, or someone who can show they are at a disadvantage because of social or economic conditions.

You, no doubt, have a unique business approach or novel insight into the way your peers can do business effectively. Join us, and share your knowledge.

The DBRC Government Contracting Portal

The DBRC contracting portal is a fresh addition to the DBRC client success model. After its March 2009 launch, we continue to share this new government contracting portal with current and prospective clients.

Doing business with the government can be time-consuming. It’s tough to guess what to put in a proposal, how to bid correctly, and even, where to find open opportunities. This government contracting portal functions as a centralized venue for working with all levels of government.

Our current clients and new site subscribers enjoy these perks:

  • Industry-specific seminars, including government contracting “how-to” courses.
  • Direct exposure to a large community of businesspeople and a built-in network of professional contacts.
  • Information-rich tutorials, links, and articles.
  • A cache of government-specific business documents, forms, and guides.
  • Hosted forums.
  • ...and much more.
