The plan ensures that Eligible Business Enterprises (EBE) have full access and equal opportunity to participate in the School District's public contracting. Our services help pre-venture, startup and existing businesses acquire the tools they need and break down the barriers that impede their business growth.

The DBRC accomplishes this by:

Offering one-on-one consulting from strategic business partners and other industry experts in all areas of business development.
Developing seminars and programs that focus on issues relevant to MWDBE businesses.
Providing a subsidy for legal services through its legal clinic
Providing notification of contracting and networking opportunities.
Offering technology, information resources, and conference space for business development endeavors.
Facilitating MWDBE advocacy and participating in MWDBE strategic planning

Our mission is to assist and foster small existing and start-up minority and women-owned businesses and other small, disadvantaged entrepreneurs in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
